Soy Wax Candles — Clean, Slow, Honest Burn

What are Flickermelt soy wax candles?

Flickermelt soy wax candles are hand-poured in Indore on 100% natural soy wax with lead-free cotton wicks. A 200g jar burns about 40–45 hours and a 400g jar about 75–80 hours, with no petroleum soot. Prices start at ₹499 and every order ships pan-India.

Every candle in this collection is poured on 100% natural soy wax — no paraffin, no blends, no shortcuts. Soy burns cooler than paraffin, which means a slower melt, less soot on your walls and a fragrance that unfolds gradually instead of hitting you all at once.

Cooler, longer burn

Soy melts at a lower temperature, so a jar lasts noticeably longer than the same size in paraffin.

No black soot

Cotton wicks and clean wax mean no smoky residue on jar walls, ceilings or curtains.

Layered fragrance

High fragrance loads blended in-house so one jar scents an entire living room.

Why we pour only soy

Soy wax is a renewable, biodegradable vegetable wax. It holds fragrance oil beautifully, releases scent at room temperature, and washes out of a jar with warm soapy water so the vessel gets a second life. Paraffin, by contrast, is a petroleum by-product that burns hotter and faster and leaves the soot most people associate with cheap candles.

The trade-off is craft. Soy is fussier to pour — it needs the right cooling curve, the right wick size and a proper cure. We rest every batch for a week before it leaves the studio, which is why the first burn behaves as well as the last.

How to get the most from a soy candle

Trim the wick to about 5mm before every light. On the first burn, let the candle run long enough to melt the full surface edge-to-edge — this sets the memory of the jar and prevents tunnelling. After that, keep individual burns under four hours and always replace the lid when the wax has set.

Frequently asked questions

Are soy candles better than paraffin?

For indoor use, yes. Soy burns cooler and cleaner, produces no petroleum soot, and lasts longer for the same jar size.

How long do your soy candles burn?

Roughly 40–45 hours for a 200g jar and 75–80 hours for a 400g jar, with a trimmed wick and a full first-burn melt pool.
